I came across Brett Slater Solicitors in 2016 at a time when I was in desperate need of help when me, my wife, and three kids got refused when we applied for permanent residency due to the medical condition of my youngest child. Our case was a complicated and close to impossible situation. It was also the first time that I spoke to Nadine over the phone and she explained to me and my wife with clarity what our situation was, and what the plan of action will be. She was very soft spoken and patient with every question that we asked her. She listened, she showed empathy, and she cared. Nadine is a one of a kind human being who stood by us over the course of 6 years through all the challenges of our case, up to the day when we finally been granted permanent residency. I can not find words to express my gratitude to Brett Slater Solicitors. Would love to thank Marina and Roy in particular. It was a very stressful process for me with my visa but Marina and Roy tried to make me feel at ease as possible, they deald with my swings mood and with my stress too. Brett Slater Solicitors & the Harbourside Legal Services Group.The most efficient, courteous, and totally brilliant Law Firm I have ever worked with!We had a very difficult situation as my wife and I applied for straight forward Australian tourist visas nine weeks before our departure date to Sydney. My visa arrived 4 weeks before departure, but my wife’s visa had still not arrived at just two weeks before departure which was very concerning.Home affairs very frustratingly would not assist at all.I contacted Mr Lee Seigenberg, Group General Manager at Brett Slater Solicitors (part of the Harbourside Legal Services Group) in Sydney. I have only high praise for the service I received, from beginning to end on my journey with Nadine and her team, in navigating the very stressful journey of applying to the Australian Home Affairs Deparment for a Travel Exemption to be able to leave Australia to go to be with my family overseas. From my first contact with Nadine I was taken by both her genuine warmth and empathy, but also her honest, well-informed and factual approach. I also felt well supported by Nadine's team, Marina and Roy, who kept contact by phone or email, issuing requests for information needed by Nadine while readily offering help (such as IT support because it was all done online and challenging for me) and answers to my ongoing questions. The fact that the application Nadine submitted on my behalf resulted in me being granted an exemption first time round certainly has been wonderful in the light of so many people are being refused exemptions! I am very grateful. But, separate from the outcome, I have been impressed by the professionalism and efficiency of the work done on my behalf and I highly recommended these people.

Nadine Elhage prepared and submitted a protection visa application for an unmarried and intellectually disabled Indian woman (applicant's sister) who was a part of the family. The family comprised of four members and remaining three were Australian citizens. It was argued that the woman was a member of a particular social group and if repatriated, she would face persecution leading to a potential threat to her life.DIBP accepted arguments put forward and granted permanent protection visa. Because of Nadine's good work, the entire family could stay together in Australia. The family will always remember Nadine Elhage for her brilliant and dedicated efforts that won the case for them.

When I met Nadine Elhage for the first time in Sydney in August 2019 discussing if there would be any chance of becoming a Permanent Resident in Australia again she immediately gave me hope and a 50/50 chance. I had left Australia as a Permanent Resident approx. 25 years ago and never ever thought that I would have the chance to be able to return to Australia as a Permanent Resident.Nadine managed the entire process of the RRV (Return Resident Visa) from A-Z with an incredible professionalism. Every single step was monitored and communicated back to me in a very detailed and easy to understand way. Interesting. I recently wrote a negative review based on (some) of my experiences working in this firm due to its namesake. Suffice to say I was part of very high staff turnover a decade ago. And I'd noticed its published reviews more positive lately though and lo and behold someone rang me to say said Brett Slater had sold the firm to him and ceased an active role and asking that I delete my google review. Which I did. But I notice 'Brett' still acclaimed in the published reviews and the website unusual as NO listing of personnel let alone profiles. An odd gap for 'Sydney's leading immigration lawyers' as a law firm only as good as its practioners. Who are they? My review can then be deleted till then the 'leading' claim seems excessive.PS Several years on I am glad to see you are now profiling your new staff and they suggest a real change in attitude from the namesake I had the misfortune to work for. Not accredited 'immigration specialists' but that accreditation did not always deliver, but sure added to the bill. York St remains a most expensive Sydney office address and next step is for it to expand to the Western suburbs.

Honestly, I don’t have the words to express how professional and hard working the team are at Brett slater solicitors. I had the best outcome with my case and it was such an easy straight forward process. Not just the professionalism of each employee but there empathy and understanding they have towards each individual client and case is above all others! I also felt well supported by Nadine's team, Marina and Roy, who kept contact by phone or email, issuing requests for information needed by Nadine while readily offering help (such as IT support because it was all done online and challenging for me) and answers to my ongoing questions. The fact that the application Nadine submitted on my behalf resulted in me being granted an exemption first time round certainly has been wonderful in the light of so many people are being refused exemptions! I am very grateful. But, separate from the outcome, I have been impressed by the professionalism and efficiency of the work done on my behalf and I highly recommended these people.

When I met Nadine Elhage for the first time in Sydney in August 2019 discussing if there would be any chance of becoming a Permanent Resident in Australia again she immediately gave me hope and a 50/50 chance. I had left Australia as a Permanent Resident approx. 25 years ago and never ever thought that I would have the chance to be able to return to Australia as a Permanent Resident.Nadine managed the entire process of the RRV (Return Resident Visa) from A-Z with an incredible professionalism. Interesting. I recently wrote a negative review based on (some) of my experiences working in this firm due to its namesake. Suffice to say I was part of very high staff turnover a decade ago. And I'd noticed its published reviews more positive lately though and lo and behold someone rang me to say said Brett Slater had sold the firm to him and ceased an active role and asking that I delete my google review. Which I did. But I notice 'Brett' still acclaimed in the published reviews and the website unusual as NO listing of personnel let alone profiles. An odd gap for 'Sydney's leading immigration lawyers' as a law firm only as good as its practioners. Who are they? My review can then be deleted till then the 'leading' claim seems excessive.PS Several years on I am glad to see you are now profiling your new staff and they suggest a real change in attitude from the namesake I had the misfortune to work for. Not accredited 'immigration specialists' but that accreditation did not always deliver, but sure added to the bill. York St remains a most expensive Sydney office address and next step is for it to expand to the Western suburbs.
